Students Supporting Students
We are thrilled to be partnered with the Victoria Lakehill girls’ soccer team who have been supporting our students in Matoso Kenya!
This group of athletes heard about our work to further the education of our students, and being students themselves, took it upon themselves to raise funds. We are so pleased that the Lakehill girls are now sponsoring two students to attend school for three years!!!!
Thank you, Girls!
If your school, sports team, or organization would like to join in this cause and send a student to school in Matoso Kenya we would love to hear from you. Please contact us and we can come and meet with your group to provide you with more information.
Lalmba Casino Night - Feb 29th, 2020 Over 200 supporters came out for the 2nd annual Casino Night and fun was had by all. While everyone tried their luck playing blackjack, roulette, poker, and Wheel of Fortune, our silent auction kept everyone extra busy throughout the night bidding on some incredible items that our Corporate sponsors donated. Looking forward to our next (post COVID) night of fun!
Tembea Na Mimi - Victoria - our annual walk that symbolizes the average distance that a child would need to walk (27 KMS) in order to seek needed health care and services in rural Kenya. Walkers met in Saanich, BC and enjoyed a half day walk to Sidney on the water where everyone enjoyed a well deserved lunch and refreshments.
