Hi my name is Felicia and I am beyond excited to be participating in Tembea Na Mimi 2024! It has been a dream of mine to travel to Africa for as long as I can remember, so when a very close friend of mine told me she was going to Africa and I found out about the purpose, I immediately asked “Can I come too?”. Lucky for me there was one spot left! I am a veterinarian and I do a fair amount of ultra running, so to be able to experience Kenya in this manner - hiking, sleeping outdoors and seeing the country from the ground level is so exciting for me. Even more incredible is to be able to meet the people, talk to and learn from them about their culture and raise money to help fund further schooling for the kids - I don’t even have the words to express my gratitude for this opportunity of a lifetime. I am quite certain that my life will be impacted equally (or dare I say more) to the impact we have on theirs.
My husband and I have three teenage kids, so when I’m not running we enjoy spending time together outside. I also will enjoy a good book and scrapbooking our life and adventures in pictures. I hope to be able to include them in this walk someday. I would be grateful for any donation amount for a worth while cause. A small amount can go a long way
