In October 2026 the walkers will experience an adventure of a lifetime, all in support of our student bursary/scholarship program. They will walk for 11 days, 260 KM's (or approximately 500,000 steps) across southwest Kenya over mountains, through rivers, wide open plains and grasslands pushing themselves like never before. They will walk (and sleep) amongst amazing wildlife, as they call the Maasai Mara home for 5 nights!! Nothing like being serenaded by lions as you fall asleep after a long day of walking!! After a well deserved rest day after day 4, they will enjoy one more day in the Maasai Mara and then they will then traverse rural Kenya for the next 5 days. Here they will see first hand the challenges that are faced in this area and how important education is to youth. Once they arrive in Matoso, a small fishing village, they will meet and visit with our students and see the bursary/scholarship program first hand.
Each walker is responsible for their own costs associated with the walk. All donations will go directly to Lalmba Canada's Student Bursary/Scholarship Program.
