Jennifer Pendray

Jambo! My name is Jennifer Pendray and I am SO EXCITED to be a part of Lalmba Canada’s Tembea Na Mimi 2026!! An epic 11 day, 270 km walking trek across the Maasai Mara! I have been following the travels of the previous teams for years, watching with awe and respect at both the physically demanding aspect of the journey and the impressive and positive impact Lalmba Canada’s work is providing in Matoso, Kenya. (Please read all of Lalmba Canada’s impressive details on their website!). I’ve had the privilege of travelling the world with work over the last 20 years (I’m an RMT and was a team therapist for Diving Canada) and have seen first hand the inequalities children face in impoverished countries.  I believe Education is fundamental to bettering the world as a whole. I also believe we have a responsibility to ensure every child, everywhere, has the opportunity to find their passion, their voice, their own purpose through Education.  Africa’s population is currently growing at a significantly faster rate than the rest of the worlds population, further indicating how important it is to ensure Education is available to everyone.

Like others on our team this year, this trek brings together many of the things I believe in –adventure, opening doors to youth, pushing myself physically and emotionally, bringing awareness to situations and realities outside our own safe environment, working together as a team and community for the betterment of others just to name a few.

We are grateful for any and all support as we make our way to across the Maasai Mara raising awareness and funds for the students in Matoso! Thank you xo

Help students in Matoso get the education they need to change their lives, their families, and their communities.
